MICHAEL CZECZELE

Michael Czeczele, has been playing drums and percussion instruments for over 45 years. He attended Bowling Green State University and studied percussion with Wendell Jones, and earned Bachelors and Masters degrees. He is in his tenth year as the assistant director of bands and percussion director at Woodmore Local Schools, where he teaches fifth grade through high school percussion. Mike also operates a private percussion studio and drum shop and actively plays in the area with several bands and performs in pit orchestras for local musicals as well. 

Mike is an active artist, clinician, and endorsee with several equipment companies including Dynasty Percussion, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Sabian Cymbals, Remo Drumheads, and Stone Custom Drums. He also endorses Duallist Bass Drum Pedals, Tru Tuner Drum tuners, Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzers and JR Drum Publications. 

He is a member of the Professional Drum Teacher's Guild, National Association of Rudimental Drummers (NARD), U.S. Association of Rudimental Drummers, Sabian Education Network, Vic Firth Education Team, and the Percussive Arts Society. Mike is also a staff writer for Bass Gear Magazine, where he writes a column entitled "Bass and Drums." 

He currently the Director of Percussion Studies at Terra State Community College, where he teaches the percussive arts, including drum set, rudimental and concert snare drum, mallet percussion, timpani, auxiliary percussion, and world percussion. Mike also directs the Terra State Contemporary Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble.
